Dear Koen,
Oh baby you are such a delight. Your smiles and giggles just melt my heart. You are such a happy little guy. You are happy to give anyone a smile if they talk to you. I get told all the time how happy you look and how much you are like your brothers and sister.
I thought you were my slow moving boy which I was quite happy about to tell the truth. Boy was I wrong. Yes you didn't start crawling as early as your siblings BUT when you started you moved quickly. You sat up by yourself at 5.5-6 months old and it was like one day you could do it the next you couldn't. You were up on your hands and knees from then on too rocking heaps and I was waiting for you to crawl as you were so strong. Nothing happened though until you were 7 months. Within a week you crawled (properly no comando like your siblings), could sit up from crawling position/tummy, knee up from crawling to standing up. OMG you did all that in less than a week I was shocked. My slow moving boy no way!!! AND you have mastered it all very quickly. You are way to little to be standing up but you are so steady for your age its not funny. Hmmmm think my hope of you not walking until you are after 1 is not going to happen. Instead it looks like it could be way beforehand. You are so strong willed!!
Your favourite thing is poppy. The flapping arms and smiles and happy sounds you make when you see him is adorable. You crawl after him and whinge/ cry when he walks away from you. You also crawl to nan and stand up at her for her to pick you up. You have them both wrapped around your fingers.
You love your food and are very good at eating. You are yet to have given me a heart attack while I think you are choking. You have gagged but nothing bad. Alot has given you bad tummy pains though so I have to be careful. You have screamed all night after a few foods. I think you could be lactose intolerant as every time you have eaten something with it in it we have been up all night with you screaming with tummy pains. It kills me to see you in pain. So we are keeping away from to much dairy such as milk, custard, yoghurt and cheese. Broccoli also seems to give you pains so have stopped that for a while too. Pasta seems to be your favourite at the moment
You always have smiles and flapping arms for Zack, Ashton and Amahlia. It is rather cute. You could be screaming and they can always make you stop and smile. Your favourite passtime is grabbing onto their hair and gee you get death grip once you do it. You think it is so funny. Mahli doesn't think its quite so funny. Zack has decided you are big enough now for him to pick you up much to our horror. We yell at him to put you down but most of the time he picks you up if you are whinging. He jumps around with you and we yell at him to not pick you up and you smile and giggle away, you think its great. Hard to yell at him as you are doing that Koen. I am terrified he will drop you though.
Koen keep smiling it is beautiful. Don't change ever. I love you soooo much. You are just a delight. You light up my life every day, even when you make me feel like a zombie from lack of sleep and that has happened lots. My beautiful boy you are my life, love you lots and lots.
