Septemeber 21st, 22nd and 23rd You all plus mum, dad, Nan, Pop, Kaylie, Lindsay and Brooklyn traveled to Dubbo for a mini holiday. You were all so excited as were we. You couldn't wait to see all the animals at the zoo. Ashton you kept changing your mind on what your favourite animal was but really wanted to see the Echinda's. Zack you couldn't wait to go swimming in the motel pool.
We left at about 10am Sunday morning and traveled over. We stopped at Coolah on the way for lunch and then kept going. Koen you were OVER the car after we put you back in your seat after lunch and screamed the car down. No matter what pop did to try and calm you down you were not having it. We ending up stopping so I could feed you as you were so upset. You finally fell asleep just before we arrived of course
After we settled into our rooms, Zack and Ashton into nan and pop's room Koen and Mahli in with mum and dad. We gave in to Zack's nagging and we all headed to the pool. I was excited as it was Koen's first time into a pool. You loved it Koen and I have a photo of us in there which so far in our life is one of my favourites of the both of us. Zack you had a ball, Mahli you thought it was ok and Ash the longer we were there the further into the pool you got first you started on the chair, then you moved to your legs in the pool, to you on the first step to the 2nd step. The furthest you have been in a big pool for a year. After a swim we got red rooster and woodfire pizza for tea and went to bed.
Bright and early we were off to the zoo. It was a super long day but we all had such a great time. Ash you got to see your echinda's. I think one of the favourite animals was the galapagos turtles. You were all amazed. BUT by far the best thing was when you all fed the giraffe's. Not one of you were scared I was amazed. Koen you slept alot in the pram which made mum do alot more walking then everyone else as I didn't want to wake you to put you back into the car so while everyone else drove I walked with you in the pram. After the zoo we all relaxed. Zack and Ash you went to have a swim with pop and dad and then we had red rooster bbq chicken, peas, corn, chips, coleslaw and gravy for tea. Then an early night for us all.
The next morning we all packed up our rooms and checked out. We went to the old dubbo Goal. You were all to scared to go into the big dark solitary confinement rooms as you couldn't see a thing. You were quite amazed by how they had to live. They had dummy's of people trying to escape so Ash and Zack tried to shoot them to stop them of course. After the goal we headed for some drive through lunch where you got a free ticket to the zoo and headed home.
You are still talking about the zoo and when we go back to use the free ticket. You would happily go back to the zoo now LOL. I love making these memories with you all. Love you all soooooo much.
